The solar eclipse was an amazing experience, complete with clear blue skies... and so many wonderful visitors who chose to spend some time with us on this historic day. We hope that you'll stop by again sometime in the future, on your way to another destination or possibly to check out another of our events. It was a pleasure meeting you!

The Top of the Common Committee and Lunenburg Historical Society

invite you to experience the 2024 historic solar eclipse within the context of the 
maple sugaring season in Lunenburg, Vermont!

Explore the towns' sugaring heritage through sugar-on-snow, maple cotton candy, interactive and photographic displays, and local sugarhouse visits.

Join in the activities at the top of the Lunenburg Common

from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

On April 8th, the library will be open from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. as a resting place, with bathroom facilities. Glasses will be provided while supplies last. During this time enjoy a special display of children's books about our solar system and eclipse themed crafts and treats.

The Lunenburg Methodist Church is the
oldest church building in Lunenburg, built in 1839. 

On April 8th, beginning at noon, we welcome visitors to come in and take a peek, enjoy some free coffee with light refreshments, and good conversation.
